I have a Gold fish which is turned white and then black within a months time. Now the fish is lying on the bottom of the tank in one corner and not eating anything. I have now isolated the fish from other fishes. Please tell me wht to do.

Goldfish sometimes turn white as they get older, but those will loose black coloring before then. I'm pretty sure changing colors sometimes has to do with servere temp or ph imbalance, you might want to test those things to see what the problem is. ph in a goldfish tank should be above 7 if I remeber correctly.

how am i supposed to check the ph level. Wht medicine can i give the fish to recover. Also why does the fish stay in one corner without moving for many hours.

Ph test kits are available at pet stores. The fact that he stays in the corner and doesn't move is definatly not a good sign :( . As far as medicine goes you'll just have to make the ph higher or lower. Also a few other questions: what size tank and filter do you have? And what temperature is the tank usually? The problem might also be that the tank is too hot, not filtered properly or isn't getting enough oxygen into the water.
