i am about to adopt a kitten and just found out that it had ringworm. supposedly, it is completely over it and the hair is already starting to grow back. should i be worried? is this contagious to people or other cats/kitten? will it be reoccurring? any advice would be helpful...

Hello algernon,

Yes, ringworms can spread to both humans and pets.
If you have any little kids at home, make sure they wash their hands thoroughly after touching the kitten.
Though it is contagious, it CAN be cured with proper treatment. With proper treatment, ringworm can be get rid off very fast. Bring the kitten to a vet immediately. Keep me posted.

i don't have the kitten yet. it is still in a foster home. i am thinking of adopting it and was informed by the person in the shelter.

i don't have any kids either, but i do want to adopt 2 kittens together.
