Dear Mom And Dad,
I Died Today.
You Got Tired Of Me And Took Me To The Shelter. They Were Overcrowded And I Drew An Unlucky Number.
I Am In A Black Plastic Bag In A Landfill Now. Some Other Puppy Will Get The Barely Used Leash You Left. My Collar Was Dirty And Too Small, But The Lady Took It Off Before She Sent Me To The Rainbow Bridge.
Would I Still Be At Home If I Hadn't Chewed Your Shoe? I Didn't Know What It Was, But It Was Leather, And It Was On The Floor. I Was Just Playing. You Forgot To Get Puppy Toys.
Would I Still Be At Home If I Had Been Housebroken? Rubbing My Nose In What I Did Only Made Me Ashamed That I Had To Go At All. There Are Books And
Obedience Teachers That Would Have Taught You How To Teach Me To Go To The Door.
Would I Still Be At Home If I Hadn't Brought Fleas Into The House? Without Anti Flea Medicine, I Couldn't Get Them Off Of Me After You Left Me In The Yard For Days.
Would I Still Be At Home If I Hadn't Barked? I Was Only Saying "i'm Scared I'm Lonely, I'm Here! I'm Here!" I Want To Be Your Best Friend.Would I Still Be At Home If I Made You Happy?Hitting Me Didn't Make Me Learn How.
Would I Still Be At Home If You Had Taken The Time To Care For Me And To Teach Manners To Me? You Didn't Pay Attention To Me After The First Week Or So, But I Spent All My Time Waiting For You To Love Me.
I Died Today.
Love, Your Puppy

That was a very sad peom. Do you know where your friend got it from? It made it seem as if you're seeing through the dog's eyes.
Oh, just a question, can people be put to sleep?

Nothing... or supposedly if you inject an empty medical needle into yourself you'd die immeadtately... pain free! :)

Yes, euthanasia is legal in Oregon.
Most commonly, if a person dosn't want to live after a heart attack or something where the heart is stopping or has stopped, they can sign up to be a DNR (do not resuscitate), and they won't reseave defibrillation, intubation etc. This is usually for the sick, older people. You also get to choice wheter or not you want to remain on a ventilator at the end of an illness.
But euthanasia or “medically” starving someone to death, I don't think I'll ever agree with.

That's suicide. It's illegal.
Why do you ask...?

Yeah, it's illegal, you know why?
Government: It's illegal because MONEY! I mean, uh, sorry for that MONEY!! but without you, MONEY!!, sorry again for that, we wouldnt have MONEY!!, I mean, a better MONEY!!, I mean, society.
They dont know you personally, I mean, they just want another person with a 1% chance that they may do something like work for the government, and if you die, how can the police arrest you?
So okay, what if you cant get a job and nobody loves you, and your actually forced to live your life out that way? You cant be helping anyone like that?
I think some laws need to be changed.

It's much more complicated than that. If human euthanasia was made legal, people may, effectively, be able to get away with murder. Where do you draw the line? How do you decide when someone will die? What if someone is in a coma? There is no guarantee that they will wake up, but they might. How long do you leave them?
Also, mistakes can be made. For example, my friend's aunt was told that she had 1 year maximum to live. She wanted to die, because she knew that if she let the illness run it's course she would die in pain. The courts didn't allow this. 12 years later, she's fine. It's much more complicated than just changing a law.

I just think people should control their own lives, who cares what the government reccomends, because even if you dont like it, you're forced to do it. Dont wanna be educated? Too bad, we recommend it, you have to do it! Thats the way it is. Well, i dont like it!

Well eventually you will be glad you got education.

You don't have to get a job. But where else will you get money? If the goverenment just handed out money to anyone that wants to be lazy then you wouldn't have enough doctors, police, etc. and all the fun places you go to (mall, restaurants, stores) will be closed down.

Yeah, if your a lazy bum and don't get money to put food on the table for your family, what's the point of life worm3rck?

i know in uk its illegal to kill someone weather its under their wishes or not. one guy got put in prison for "murder" for 3 life sentences(i dont under stand how u can get three life sentences, one life sentance is ment to be well life but it can be 20 yrs) coz his wife begged him to kill her coz she was greatly suffering and it was incurable.

OK Worm3 I think you got a little off the topic humans getting put to sleep has nothing to do with the poem that i posted Nor was that the message it was to give out. so please if you want to make you own post about ppl being put to sleep please do it somewhere else but if you want to post a thread that has to do with my post feel free thx

A Pat on the Head
by Ginny Brancato.........................................
May 23rd. 2004
You walked right past me like I wasn't even there, not even a pat on my head nor a glance my way.
You walked right past, thinking only of your plans ahead… Gotta get to the store, , have to pay the bills, the kids need shoes , who's gonna fix that broken door?
You didn't once notice my longing stare. I just wanted a pat on the head, to hear you say," Good boy, I'll be right back".
Even that much would have been OK…. but you had so many plans for the rest of the day…
I heard the door, ran to you, waggin my tail like all good doggies do. I tried my best, hoping for a little love from you..
"Not now, little one, later OK, later, when the kids are in bed."
The lights are out, the house is quiet. It's my turn now, I just know it…
You ran up the stairs, not a glance my way, thinking of your plans for the following day.
So much to do, make-up to try, What clothes to wear for the new job interview. I lay back down, time's running out.
I see the magical colors of the Rainbow, so vivid ahead; Gold and pink, blue and red.
All I wanted was on a pat on the head….

oh about the 3 life sentance thing, somtimes you hear someone get like 100 years plus 10 years, that means they might be able to get out of the 100 year sentance 1 year into the sentance( witch is very unlikely, 99 years free) for goot behavor but have to go backin for 10 more years without the possiblity of porole, because its your second time in prison. i dont know very much about the world, im only 11, so dont bet your life that im right. But, one thing i do know is that you can kill youself by injeting air into a major blood stream, somone murdered some popular singer between 1950 and 1970. you can also give yourself the bends in this way but by using nitrigyne instead of air. i also think it might work with water but yould probably have to put it in you jugular vain.
