Budgie taming help

I just got a new budgie and he doesnt trust me at all. When i stick my hand into his cage he freaks out and jumps like a monkey. He even threatens me with this raspy sound and strikes his beak at me. The cage is pretty big and i bought a few toys for him. He plays with them. I dunno how to tame this little punk. SOMEBODY HELP!!!! http://petshub.com/ubb/frown.gif
