Hi...I had this young budgie around february...It was a blue/white male. Bought from a petstore...well brought it home put it into his cage with all the necessary food and water already there....This bird was so cute...but it didnt move around much...I was able to get it to eat from my hand...he sat on my finger too...i was like yes i am taming him...but again...it was very inactive...didnt chirp...except when i played parakeet sounds from the internet...well he was usually sleepy...fluffed up...and a week later...it died...i wuz so sad...Then..we got parakeets again....But Two this time..thinking it died from boredom or from having no friends...Now these two have been living happily together since february...One is Blue/White....Name is Boncuk...The other is yellow/green....name is Polly...Now Yesterday i got another bird...a parakeet....Its so small and young...Its white with blue on the back....Its awesome...I put this one in a different cage...i want to tame this one because the other two are used to each other and not that people friendly....heard u have to have one bird to tame them....Anywayz....this one is quiet and doesnt do anything...im worried its gonna die like the other one....but i also dont want to put it with the other birds because i wanna tame it...what should i do? any ideas or advice? Thanks http://petshub.com/ubb/smile.gif

if your bird was fluffed up all the time it was not bored or lonely it was ILL the petshop sold you a duff (pardon the pun) bird and it was unwell the only reason you bird is quiet is the same reason you are quiet when your on your own it has no-one to talk to if you stick it the room next to the one you have you other birds in it will talk to them but will still listen to you this makes it harder to teach it to talk but makes it more happy and it will want to finger train quicker then i am just about to upload a new part to my website about perch and finger training if you would like me to forward the page to you e-mail me on birdcrazy@birdcrazy.net or visit my site http://birdcrazy.net although it will not be published on my site for another week or so so if you e-mail me you can be the first and only person to see my page before it is up and running hope this helps.
