Hi, my 4 year old neutered male bunny, Snooky, has just started humping our other boy bunny.

Both are neutered and have been best bunny buddies and companions for two years now and all of a sudden Snooky will not stop trying to hump Tiggles head and bottom. He starts grunting and just won’t be deterred. He is a very bright bunny and will pause before starting if we say “No” but the second we’re not looking, he’s back at it.

Tiggles is not at all interested and has always been very protective of his bottom. But he is a very sociable bunny and seems so sad to not have his normal snuggle mate anymore.

Other than keeping them apart, which would devastate Tiggles, does anyone have any suggestions.

Especially, does anyone else have a neutered male rabbit who has started humping after 2 years of no humping?

Help, pretty keen to not have to separate them permanently. They are house bunnies and it’s going to be tough to have to keep them apart.

    thanks, Karyn

Don’t separate them, they need to work it out on their own.
