hey guys im new here and i have put a bit of tissue inside my hamsters cage, due to a website saying that its a good idea to use in order for the hamster to get used to my smell. I saw him stuffing it in his mouth then bringing it to his small enclosure of a house thingie. (lol) thats normal right? and how can i make him freindlier. he has gotten freindlier since the first day i got him but how can i make him even more nicer?

Yep toilet paper or Kleenex is great for bedding and much safer the fluff bedding. Just hold it in your hand for a bit then put it in the cage. As for the stuffing, it is very normal. Hamsters have huge cheek pouches that allow them to store food and bedding. 😉

Just take it slow, don’t rush and don’t barge into the cage. Check out this taming guide: http://hamsterhideout.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=5988
